Battery Life & Charging

Battery life is another highlight of the Buds Core. When paired with the charging case, you can get up to about 35 hours of total playtime — which includes both earbuds and case charges — when ANC is turned off. With ANC active, you can expect around 20 hours of total use before needing to recharge. Additionally, a quick three-minute charge can give you around one hour of listening time, a feature that’s especially useful when you’re in a hurry but low on battery. The earbuds and case recharge via USB-C cable, which is common and easy to use, though these models do not support wireless charging.

The Galaxy Buds Core use Bluetooth version 5.4, which offers stable and efficient wireless connectivity with compatible devices. This helps reduce dropouts and lag during music playback or calls. These earbuds are compatible with many Android phones and tablets, and when used with Samsung Galaxy devices, they support more advanced features through the Galaxy Wearable app. One of the standout smart features is Galaxy AI Interpreter Mode, which enables real-time voice translation right from your earbuds, an impressive tool for travel or conversations in different languages. They also support Auto Switch — automatically switching the audio connection between different Samsung devices when needed — and features like Samsung Find to help locate misplaced earbuds.

Durability and Everyday Use
For everyday life, the Buds Core are built to last with an IP54 rating for dust and water resistance. This means they’re protected against dust ingress and light splashes, making them suitable for workouts, outdoor use in light rain, or accidental spills. Their build and battery life combined with ANC make them a practical choice for students, commuters, or anyone who wants reliable earbuds without spending a lot. The touch controls and multiple sensors (like hall and proximity sensors) also help the earbuds respond intuitively when you put them in or take them out.
