Redmi A2 Plus was officially announced in March 2023 alongside Redmi A2 and Redmi A2 Lite. Pre Orders began on 24 March 2023 and the devices were made available on March 24, 2023. It landed in Kenya in end of April 2023. The Redmi A2 Plus succeeds the Redmi A1 Plus as the top new Redmi flagship. Redmi A2 Plus is available at City hub at Ksh.13,500 for the 32GB and Ksh.14,500 for the 64GB.
The Redmi A2 Plus is a budget-friendly smartphone that offers good value for its price. The 6.52-inch IPS LCD display has a resolution of 720 x 1600p and offers a decent viewing experience for video content. The screen-to-body ratio is 81%, making it suitable for an entry-level smartphone. it  is powered by the MediaTek Helio G36 SoC. It runs Android 13 Go Edition out of the box, providing smooth operation for everyday tasks
It retains the design of last year’s A1 model, featuring a plastic back with a textured finish for better grip. The camera panel includes a wide camera and a depth sensor, with a fingerprint sensor in the middle.
