The  features a 6.3-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution, 120 Hz refresh rate, and extremely high peak brightness that makes the screen easy to see even in bright sunlight. It supports Dolby Vision and HDR10+ for richer colors and contrast when watching videos or playing games. What makes the 17 Pro especially unique is a secondary LTPO AMOLED display on the back (about 2.7 to 2.9 inches) that can show notifications, music controls, selfie previews, and custom wallpapers, a standout design feature for productivity and personalization.

 Performance & Software

Inside the Xiaomi 17 Pro is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset built on a 3 nm process, paired with 12 GB or 16 GB of RAM and 256 GB, 512 GB, or 1 TB of UFS 4.1 storage (no expandable storage). This hardware combo delivers elite-level speed and efficiency for demanding tasks like gaming, heavy multitasking, and creative apps. The phone runs Android 16 with Xiaomi’s HyperOS 3 interface, which offers fluid animations, smart resource management, and smooth cross-device connectivity.

Camera System

Photography is a major focus of the 17 Pro. It uses a Leica-co-engineered triple 50 MP camera setup: a wide lens with OIS, a periscope telephoto lens with up to 5× optical zoom, and an ultra-wide lens for scenic shots. These cameras support 8K video recording, Dolby Vision, and HDR10+ for high-quality videos. The 50 MP front camera also captures detailed selfies and can shoot 4K video, making this device very capable for content creation and social media.

Battery & Charging

The phone is powered by a 6300 mAh silicon-carbon battery, which is large enough to last through heavy daily use, from streaming and social apps to gaming and multitasking. Charging options are robust: 100 W fast wired charging (capable of filling the battery quickly), 50 W wireless charging, and 22.5 W reverse wireless charging to power accessories like earbuds.

The Xiaomi 17 Pro supports 5G for fast mobile internet and includes Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, and an infrared blaster. It also features stereo speakers tuned with Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res audio, and UWB (Ultra Wideband) for advanced smart device interactions. For durability, it has IP68 dust and water resistance and a premium build with a slim profile and strong glass protection. Security is handled by an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.
