The Samsung Galaxy Flip 5 was officially announced on July 2023 alongside Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5. Pre Orders began on 26 July 2023 and the devices were made available on August 11, 2023. It landed in Kenya in September 2023. The Galaxy Flip 5 succeeds the Galaxy Flip 4 as the top new Galaxy flagship. Samsung Galaxy Flip 5 is available at City hub at Ksh.79,000 for the 256GB.

The Galaxy Flip 5 has the main foldable screen is a 6.7-inch OLED main display with a smooth adaptive 120Hz refresh rate and an FHD+ resolution. It features a much larger 3.4-inch cover screen compared to its predecessor, the Flip 4. It also introduces a new waterdrop hinge design to minimize the gap when folded

Running things inside the Galaxy Flip 5 is the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy. This is the chip that the Galaxy S23 series offered earlier in the year. The Galaxy Flip 5’s photography kit is the same as we saw on the Galaxy Z Flip 4: a 12MP main camera and a 12MP ultrawide camera on the back, with a 10MP selfie camera on the inside.

The Galaxy Flip 5 comes in several color options, including Mint, Graphite, Cream, and Lavender.
