The Samsung Galaxy M14 was launched in March 2023 alongside the Samsung M24 and Samsung M34. Pre-orders began on March 08, 2023, and the devices were made available on March 11, 2023. It landed in Kenya in April 2023.  Samsung Galaxy M14 is available at City hub at Ksh.15,500 for the 64GB + 4GB RAM.

Design

The sleek design of Galaxy M14 5G gives it an eye-catching, modern look. Refined curves make it comfortable to hold and provide easy screen navigation.

The back is plastic, It doesn’t offer enough grip because of the smooth finishing, though I never felt like it would slip out of my hands. Its weight is also surprisingly low despite the 6,000 mAh battery inside.

Display

The Galaxy M14 comes with a 6.6-inch PLS LCD display with a refresh rate of 90Hz and a resolution of 1080 x 2400pixels. It is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 and sports an Infinity-V notch that holds the front-facing camera. Enhanced display to create smooth, bright and super immersive viewing experiences.

The best thing about the M14 display is the 90Hz refresh rate, which makes for mostly smooth animations and navigation through the user interface. It’s also nice to see Samsung has upgraded to Gorilla Glass 5 protection from the M13 5G’s Gorilla Glass 3.

Camera

Galaxy M14 5G has three cameras on the back which provides a great photography experience. The two additional cameras are for depth sensing for portrait photos while the other is a macro camera that’s severely limited in utility by its 2-megapixel resolution.

The 50MP primary rear camera is for daylight pics which has a pleasing amount of fine detail, low noise, and good dynamic range. By default, the phone takes 12MP photos using pixel binning.
