Tecno Phantom V Fold was officially announced in February 2023 alongside Tecno Spark 10 Pro, Tecno Spark 10 and Tecno Spark 10c. Pre Orders began on 28 February 2023 and the devices were made available on April 12, 2023. It landed in Kenya in May 2023. The Tecno Phantom V Fold succeeds the Tecno Phantom X as the top new Tecno flagship. Tecno Phantom V Fold is available at City hub at Ksh.130,000 for the 256GB and Ksh.143,000 for the 512GB.

The Tecno Phantom V Fold is a foldable Android smartphone with impressive features. It weighs 299g.  The dual SIM device features a Foldable LTPO AMOLED, 1B colors, 120Hz, 1100 nits (peak) display. The 7.85-inch display has an impressive resolution of 2000 x 2296 pixels (~388 ppi density). When folded, the cover display comprises 6.42 inches, 1080 x 2550 pixels (431 PPI), LTPO AMOLED, 1B colors, 120Hz, 1100 nits (peak), with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection. It is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ (4 nm) chipset, which is coupled by an Octa-core (1×3.20 GHz Cortex-X2 & 3×2.85 GHz Cortex-A710 & 4×1.80 GHz Cortex-A510) CPU and Mali-G710 MC10 CPU.

The camera system has a triple rear cameras setup of 50MP wide, 50MP telephoto with 2x optical zoom, 13MP ultrawide.
