Apple iPhone 18 Pro (Coming Soon)
Expected September 2026. Register your interest and we will contact you when specifications, stock and pricing are confirmed.
Status as of 20 August 2026: Apple has not announced this product. Nothing on this page is a confirmed specification. The dates below are drawn from press reporting and from Apple’s own release patterns in previous years, and they may change. We will replace this page with verified specifications as soon as Apple publishes them.
What Is Actually Known
Apple has confirmed nothing. There is no announced name, no announced specification and no announced date.
What press reporting consistently indicates is that Apple will introduce an iPhone 18 Pro and an iPhone 18 Pro Max in September 2026, alongside its first foldable iPhone. Reporting also suggests the Pro models will keep the 6.3 inch and 6.9 inch display sizes used by the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max, rather than changing screen sizes this generation.
Everything else circulating about cameras, chips and battery life is unverified. We are not going to repeat it here, because a specification we cannot stand behind is worse than no specification at all.
Expected Timeline
Apple has issued its keynote invitation exactly fourteen days before the event in every year since the iPhone 14. That puts the invitation around Wednesday 26 August 2026, which is when the real dates become known.
Press reporting points to a keynote on Wednesday 9 September. Labour Day in the United States falls on Monday 7 September, and Apple has never held an iPhone event the day after Labour Day, which is why 9 September is the most commonly cited date rather than the 8th.
Pre-orders would normally open the Friday after the keynote. This year that Friday is 11 September, the twenty-fifth anniversary of the 2001 attacks, and reporting suggests Apple will move pre-orders to Saturday 12 September instead. The same thing happened in 2015, when the keynote also fell on 9 September.
On that timeline, general availability would follow around Friday 18 September. A minority of reports place the keynote later, on 14 or 15 September, which would push pre-orders to 18 September and release to 25 September.
None of this is confirmed. Treat 26 August as the date to watch.
What This Means for Buyers in Kenya
Two things are worth knowing before you decide whether to wait.
First, only the Pro models and the foldable are expected this September. Reporting indicates the standard iPhone 18, the lower-cost iPhone 18e and a possible iPhone Air 2 have moved to around March 2027 under a new split launch strategy. If you are shopping for a standard iPhone rather than a Pro, there is no new model coming before Christmas, and the current iPhone 17 range is the current generation through the whole festive season.
Second, international availability rarely matches the United States launch date. Kenyan stock typically arrives after the first wave, and pricing here depends on duty, freight and clearing costs that are set well after Apple announces its own prices. We will confirm both as soon as we can rather than estimating.
Bloomberg reporting has suggested Apple may raise prices this generation, citing component costs and camera hardware. That reporting is not confirmed and we will not quote a figure until we have one.
If You Need a Phone Before September
The iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max are the current Pro generation and they are genuinely strong for creator work. Both record 4K Dolby Vision up to 120fps, support ProRes RAW and Apple Log 2, and include Genlock, which allows the phone to be frame synchronised with other cameras on a multi camera shoot.
Both are also dual eSIM only, with no physical SIM card slot. Confirm your carrier supports eSIM before you buy, whichever generation you choose, because the same is expected of the iPhone 18 Pro models.
