Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide

Camera

The Galaxy Z Fold 8 carries a versatile dual-camera system tuned for everyday shooting, covering everything from wide landscapes to tight group shots without you needing to think about it. Samsung’s improved Nightography algorithms lift detail and reduce noise in low light, so evening and indoor shots stay clean, and the foldable design lets you prop the phone open to shoot hands-free from unusual angles.

Main Camera Features

• 50MP wide main camera with OIS and dual-pixel autofocus
• 50MP ultra-wide with a 120-degree field of view
• Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy image processing

Photography

• High-resolution stills with improved Nightography
• Galaxy AI photo tools and editing features

Video Recording

Both rear cameras record up to 8K at 30fps and 4K at 60fps, giving you plenty of resolution to crop and reframe in editing. The wide form factor is a real advantage here, because the large, near-square inner display makes it far easier to frame a shot, follow the action and review footage than a narrow phone screen allows.

Video Features

Samsung’s updated ProVisual Engine sharpens stabilisation and colour processing, and the tablet-like 4:3 inner display doubles as an editing surface, letting you trim and arrange clips comfortably on the same device you shot them on.

Front Camera Performance in Video Recording

• 10MP cover camera and 10MP inner foldable-display camera
• 4K 60fps front video for vlogging on either screen

Power

A 4,800mAh battery is sized to drive the large display comfortably through a full day of mixed use, from filming and editing to browsing on the big screen.

Battery and Charging Features

• 4,800mAh battery
• Fast wired and wireless charging

Storage

Available in 256GB, 512GB and 1TB with up to 16GB of RAM, giving creators room for large 8K clips and smooth multitasking across the expansive display.

Editing

The Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 has the horsepower for on-device photo and video editing, and the wide inner screen gives editing apps far more room to work than a standard phone, effectively turning the Fold 8 into a pocketable editing tablet.

Audio

Stereo speakers and a multi-microphone array capture clear, balanced sound for calls, content and video recording, with directional pickup that helps keep dialogue clean.

Design & Build

The all-new wide form factor is the biggest change to the Fold line in years. Shorter and wider than a traditional book-style fold, it feels compact and easy to hold when closed, then opens into a spacious 7.6-inch display with a tablet-like 4:3 shape that suits reading, browsing and multitasking. At 201g and just 4.5mm unfolded it is the lighter of the two Fold 8 models, and an Armor Aluminum frame with Gorilla Glass Ceramic 3 and Victus 2 keeps it protected.

• 7.6-inch wide foldable main display; 3:2 cover display
• 201g, 4.5mm unfolded; Armor Aluminum, Gorilla Glass Ceramic 3 and Victus 2
• Android 17 with One UI 9 and 7 years of updates
